FToss is considered as a game of mere skill and is based on the regulations under the provision of legitimate activity which makes these Fantasy Games exempt from the Public Gambling Act, 1867 (PGA). Furthermore, FToss is created in accordance to fully incorporate highest interest of the stakeholders at the same time maintaining consumer interest to comply with the online gaming standards under the Indian Constituency. FToss fantasy platform is not approved under the jurisdiction of States of Assam, Odisha, Sikkim, Nagaland and Telangana.

    Key points from the high court’s judgement regarding online fantasy game played in India includes following rules-

  • Players have to select their own team consisting same number of players that play in real-time. Such as, 11 players in cricket and 11 in football.

  • Contests are run for at least the duration of an entire sports match

  • Team changes are not permitted by users after the commencement of a match.

The court held that online fantasy games are legal business activity protected under Article 19 (1) (g) of the Constitution of India.
